Adjustment of Status - I-485

Hi guys, I had my interview yesterday which was supper fast, we hardly even got any questions asked, I had all documents with me, they didn't even ask me for the new medical exam/physical so I guess I just paid for no reason, they just asked for me to verify my information and went through a couple questions about my kids and husband the same for him they just asked for him to verify his information, once it got to the question of "have you ever being detained or convicted of any crime?" I knew I had to tell them about a car accident I had which they have information on, I was charged with child abuse because my 7yr old didn't have her buster sit and I was at fault, I completed parenting classed paid fees but I was placed on unsupervised probation, so at the end when everything was done, the officer said. "okay, we are done, I will approve the I-130 but not the I-485" what does that exactly mean??? HELP, my lawyer asked when will I get approved for it and she just said I don't know, then he asked, if it was because I am still on probation she said yes.

Has anybody experience something like this? my Lawyer said that shouldn't affect me since it's unsupervised and once I am done with it we can send it over, but I have 6 months left. After that I got an email saying they mailed out a letter for more evidence.
