Interview San Jose, CA
Hi guys! Today I finally had my interview. Honestly, I gotta say I expected the IO to be like super nice and to give us good news like: check your status in a couple of days or, you should be getting your green card in 4-6 weeks (like I've read in this forum), but it didn't happen. Long story short, the IO was nice at the beginning but once she started the interview she was very serious and hard to read.

PD: July 27th, 2018 (San Francisco - San Jose was the assigned office for the interview)
Interview: September 20th, 2019 8:30 am - got called at around 9:00 am.

About the interview: the IO asked me my husband's name and DOB, his kids names and DOBs and his parents names. She also asked me where my husband was born and where we got married. After that, she basically went through the entire I-485. I had a previous arrest (wet and reckless) so she asked for the certified copy of the court disposition and the police report. She took a while looking at those and then moved on.Some corrections where made on the form (things that my lawyer initially filled out wrong) and that was all on my side.

Then, the IO proceed to ask my husband where he works and my parent's name. She asked for the recent W2s, pay stubs and 2018 taxes (which was a huge stack of papers), which we provided right away.

Lastly, she asked him how we met, who proposed and where and where we got married - absolutely nothing else (that part took like one minute). The IO was very brief with this subject, which my lawyer thought was odd.

At the end she asked us if there was something else we wanted to give her, so we gave her another stack of supporting documents. She gave me the white paper and said: "I need some time to review all the documents. If we need anything else we will contact you via mail. If you change your address make sure you let USCIS know". Her comment honestly made me worry a little bit - kind of made me feel like she already wants to send a RFE, which wouldn't make any sense to me since we provided all the necessary documents + a lot of evidence of a real marriage. Again, I want to try to stay positive so maybe she just said that as part of the job.

That was basically it. The interview lasted approximately half an hour. Hopefully I get good news soon - I'm cautiously optimistic.

Let me know your thoughts, or if you have any questions feel free to ask.
