It's been long journey, but it's done!
Hi! I've been mostly silent reader of this forum, and have found to be very helpful when I was anxiously waiting for my interview date and after my interview.. So, now that my journey is close to an end, I wanted to share my experience to pay it forward!
Marriage based Adjustment of Status
Field Office: San Francisco
PD: August 21st, 2017
Case Ready to be scheduled for an interview: March 14th, 2018
Interview scheduled: January 23rd, 2019
Interview date: February 27th, 2019
Status changed to "New Card Is Being Produced": March 5th, 2019
It took close to an year from the moment my case was ready to be schedule for an interview to new card being produce. Needless to say, it has been a long journey.
When my husband and I went in for the interview, everything went very well to the point where the field officer and we had an ongoing joke. After the interview as done, I was given the paper stating "Case Needs to be Reviewed." This is when my panic began, as information I found on internet was telling me this could take anywhere from few hours to few months. Luckily, it took exactly 6 days before my status changed to New Card Being Produced.
Also, fyi, when I log on to USCIS account, the status still shows "Interview Scheduled," but the status per my USCIS Case Status App shows otherwise. I'm going to believe the status per the App is more accurate, and continue to celebrate. God is good. Good luck everyone, and hang in there
