Hi All, thank you so much for all your posts it is giving me an overview and details on what to expect with my case.
My current status is B2 extension on process and F1 application on process (RFE asked me to file the B2 extension). B2 extension was filed July 14.
My husband and I just got married Saturday! It is an intimate courthouse wedding with some relatives and friends and reception afterwards. They said to wait 6-8 weeks for the certified marriage certificate to be mailed, I think this is what we'll use for filing of the I-130 and I-485 right? So I think we'll wait for it first before filing and while we gather documents that we need.
We are a legitimate couple but upon reading earlier some documents that were asked, it gets a little complicated for me because (1) we don't really want a joint bank account because we both have very different spending habits and we wanna keep track of our budget, (2) I don't have insurance under his name yet or car because I don't have any credit score yet (again my status is just on process for F1) or can we do that? (3) my phone plan is connected with my family's cause it's gonna be cheaper, and he is connected with his and we're on different networks (T-Mobile and At&T). Is it advisable that we cancel our current phone plans and have a combined one? (4) I didn't change my last name for personal reasons.
We just want to make sure that we'll have a smooth interview and to be approved for the change of status.
