LOS ANGELES
Hello Everyone,
I am proudly to say that I am officially a permanent resident. Thank god !!! It has been a long journey, I arrived in the US when I was 1 ½ and now I am in my thirties. Proud DACA recipient for six years (shout out to OBAMA). I want to tell everyone to be safe, patient, and enjoy life documented or undocumented at the end life moves forward. I had prepared for the worst and prayed for the best and learned a lot from this journey. I am graduating this Fall with my B.S in Business management and got a promotion last week, so the key is to make sure to keep moving forward. My dad was deported 7 years ago and so glad I am finally able to visit him. Patience and wisdom are the key to dealing with this process. This website has helped me, and I know it helps others, so I am here to share my stories. The lawyer did everything for me I applied for i-765, i-485, and i-130. Timeline goes
05/06/2018 PD
05/20/2018 Biometrics letter
06/07/2018 Biometrics *please make sure to check barcodes for all the applications
09/28/2018 EAD received
03/22/2019 interview letter
04/21/2019 Interview *Interview experience in my profile for more info
This is where being patient and being positive is the key to survive the wait. During my interview at the end, my biometrics were not there and had to redo them. Later on, I checked, and the i-485 barcode was not there. I-130 in case status was approved on 04/24/2019.
05/05/2019 Redo Biometrics
05/31/2019 Card produced
06/06/2019 Card in hand
I recommend signing up for text messages alerts rather than checking case status a million times a day. This will help the anxiety trust me. I waited for the post office lady since I had received a tracking number via case status. I popped my Don Perignon and even offered the post office lady some lol. Anyways now next step citizenship. Thanks to everyone experiences.
