M1
Hi all,

I went through immihelp prior to my M1 Visa appointment. I had a B1 rejection in 2005 though i had an invitation from my brother studying in the US. along with me were my parents and my little niece. The consulate thought why would we want to take the little one without her parents, so that aroused the doubt i guess and only my parents got their Visa.

i applied for M1 Visa in june 2008, this time the consulate dint even want to take a look at my documents, he just saw my March 2005 rejected and said sorry. I was taken back from the fact that i had all my doocuments in place and that i had an I-20 nd had made all the payments , why should i not try again. the first thing that i did after the Visa rejection, i spoke to my parents took their permission and straigth headed to the nearest HDFC bank and took a appointment which was scheduled with a week in hand.

I went to no. of consulars in Delhi to help me out, every one suggested to not try for the next six months but i was not giving up and at last one consular at Defence colony agreed to help.

I got a few more documents , one from my father and another from the dean at my US institute.Which helped me sail through. on my scheduled time , i was in front of the consulate, whichout any questions i submitted all my documents and this time i wasnt asked why i was rejected a week before. i was asked bout my tie with my Indian school, and i was told that i would get my passport in a week's time. Voila...my prayers were granted... studying in such a great set of rules in the US school was ndeed a pleasure.

God Bless all of u all. Just be confident, have all your documens ready and have enough to show your tie with your land.and tHat you love your country to be back here. i love it at my mother's land.
