Mail delivery issues
I need some advise and help on this issue.
My interview was approved on Aug 12th, and the same day our status updated that they sent approval notices to our address.
It's 24th now, and as per usps informed delivery, I'm not getting any mail from uscis today.
Adding to this, my lawyer received a copy of our approval notices last week on Thursday (4 business days ago).
So i called uscis, and they verified my address three times during the conversation and told me that they have the same mailing address on file.
My only concern is that if I don't receive the approval notice by mail in next 2 days, there is a chance that they have a system error, and they are sending mail to an incorrect address. Because lost mail is one thing, but if you're not getting notification in informed delivery, it means that they are sending mail to an incorrect address.
I have no idea what to do, as they will also send my permanant resident card to the same address to which they sent approval notices.
Can someone help me here? What should I do and who should I talk to? My case status still says to wait for notice to arrive by 28th, but this much delay never ever happened. USPS takes max 5 working days to deliver nationally.
One short story on the side: During our interview, the officer asked us about our current address, she wrote incorrect address through hand writing on a peice of paper. Then I asked her to correct the address, so she just cut the street name and wrote the correct street name on top of it. Then i noticed that she wrote the wrong apartment number on that piece of paper (instead of 414, she wrote 141). Then I again asked her to correct it, and she crossed out the apartment number and corrected again.
Is there any chance that she mailed all documents to the address that she wrote? Due to over cutting and writing on the same line, there might be a chance that the address is incorrect? (Please tell me if i'm overthinking).
Rest assured, the USCIS agent had the correct address on file.
Is there anyone who is going through similar issues?
