single , female ,25, working with finance company from last 4 years applied for USA visa along with my mother for 3 weeks .We went there without hope due to below reasons.
1. I made a mistake in DS160 form " Mentioned my brother as us citizen wherein he a resident:
(but i created a new application with correct details and took both the old and new print outs)
2. No Sponsorship papers( My brother was sponsoring and he couried the Papers bt we didnt recived it , but i took the couries label number to show them that he has couried but we hav not recieved due Holidays(EID and 15th Aug)
We reached there at 8:30 ..
There was a large queue which i didnt expected lol.then we were directed towards the Interview counters. There was one English guy speaking Fluent hindi As our interview was in Hindi bcz of my mom. A lot of people were wtg for their turns . some got it some rejected .We were hopeless so we sitting casualy and waiting for our turn. Then our Turn Came.
I Said " Good Morning Sir
He replied back , Good Morning Madam.
He- is she ur mother?
Me. Yes she is my mother.
He- why are u going to us .?
I started in English n told him that i selected hindi bcz of my mom and i am more comfortable in English , He smiled back.
and then i sd i m goind there for vacation and to meet my brother and sister inlaw.
then so many questions came
where u gonna stay ?
on which visa ur brother i s on?
How he gone to us?
What does he do
where does he work
have u ever applied for visa before
For how much period u r going to us
do u want to live in us
so on......
I replied back to every question promptly and with confidence.
He didnt asked much to my Mom.
and then he was looking into his computer and was pondering and then he sd that this is a tourist visa not for immigration
i sd i know that
Atlast he said " Madam ur Visa is Approved with a smiling face.
So, after this experience what i understood that as we apply for visa ,they go thru the applicant background and make their decision evn before the interview. if theywant to give the Visa or Not. rest 10% is done in the Interview, So You should have a genuine reason to go with right intentions . Ur visa will be approved.
Not evn a single paper was checked.
