Can a mandamus lawsuit make a difference?
My husband n I have been waiting months post interview. USCIS keeps saying pending Background checks
i wonder if they are to intentionally delay a case, cos if you or your spouse break up during the wait... No green card for you.
We also consulted our senator and got the same response on pending Background check and they don't know when it will be done so no time frame or estimate
... I'm confused, and my husband and I are thinking of filing a lawsuit as this wait is frustrating...
I'm also scared we may be denied because they may claim they can't approve without background check.
It's been well over a year since we filed.... For the past months since our interview I have read every post on this site, looking for hope, similar stories and some kind of reassurance as to why we are being punished.
For the record... We both have a super clean record. The only issue I can pin point is that I'm from one of the so called "shithole" countries 😢😢😢
