Hey guys. Just wanted to update you all thinking it may relieve somebody’s stress!
My local field office is NYC and when I first filed they transferred my application to NBC.
I’ve been living in the US for 8 years so all my previous 5-year addresses have been US addresses. I’m currently on OPT. I’ve been fingerprinted before for DOE. I’m not sure if all this eases the background check and speeds up things. But from what I’ve understood, 2018 applications have been getting their interviews scheduled so fast. They must have hired new contractors or something!
2/12/18 -PD (concurrent filing)
3/13/18- Biometrics
4/19/18 - “we scheduled your employment-based appointment. We will mail you a notice.
I was freaking out because I’ve been reading posts saying some people never received their appointment notices etc. DONT PANIC!!
The stamp on the notice was from April 23rd. Meaning they didn’t produce the letter until 2 days after I received the email.. Give it at least a full week! Oh btw, my dis account never got updated but check case status was updated immediately.
4/26/18- received notice in the mail. Interview scheduled for May 29th.
And there are a ton of supporting documents they are asking for again such as lease, Photos etc. I suggest when you’re getting ready to file make an extra copy or two.
