Field office: Boston USCIS

Our experience with our officer was delightful. I am the USC and my husband was the petition. He went over both the i130 and i485 + yes /no questions. Normally at Boston field office they tend to separate the couples right off the bat, but he said that he went over our case and did not feel the need to with the load of evidence we had submitted. Being married only 7 months, we were nervous we did not have too much evidence compared to married couples of 2 years and up. We were not acting too affectionate but he stated that with our body language and the way we were talking with each other he knew we had been. He did not even ask us many questions on our relationship to our surprise, we were expecting many and had prepared ourselves for anything. He was very impressed with all the documentation we had provided and I gave him a booklet that consisted of photos throughout our relationship of 2.5 years. He enjoyed and looked at every single photo.

He said he would approve it (which i think meant he would reccommended it to be approved from someone above him).

We thanked him for his time and walked out with joyful tears.

I checked my husband’s case today and it says new card being produced!

My advise to everyone going through the same thing:
If your marriage is real, there is nothing to be worried about. Just go over some sample questions so you’re both prepared.

We were very fortunate that our timeline took only 4 months… we were expecting 12 months or more

Stay strong and keep everything: bills, cards, documents, letters, etc. This will be very important to your case.
