Memphis Interview--Approved on the spot
We had our interview yesterday October 27th at 9.00am and was approved on the spot. The interview lasted just 10 minutes. The IO had us swear an oath and started with the Yes/ No questions. After that, the following questions were asked:
1. Original Birth certificates of the both of us.
2. Original Marriage License and IDs.
3. Asked us to confirm our names and address
4. When was the last time you entered the US and with what visa? ( I came in F1 Visa)
5. Did you graduate and what school did you go to?
6. When and how did you two meet?
7. Who proposed?
8. Have either of you ever been married before?
9. Where do you work and what is your job title? ( I'm on F1-OPT)
10. Any other documents you want me to see other than the ones you sent with your application? I handed the IO a paper showing my wife as a beneficiary on my 401k and life insurance.
IO started typing on her computer and printed a paper, handed it to me and said congrats you have been approved, you should receive your 2-year green card in 2 weeks and make sure to remove the conditions 90 days before it expires. We said thank you and she walked us out. YAY!!!!.
30 minutes later my online status changed to "New Card being produced" and then changed to "Case approved" after 3 hours. I'm so happy and I wish everyone still on this journey the best of luck.
