Mother got Visa
Hi,
My Mother had 9.30AM appointment for the visa interview on 31st Jan at the Chennai Consulate.We chose Telugu translator and it's a great help for her.
When her turn came,she wished both the officer and translator then the officer asked the following questions
1)Who filled the form DS-156(which was my brother)?
2)How many children do you have?
3)My brother's job(India)?
4)Why's my father not accompnying her(passed away)?
5)My father's job?
6)What does the sponser(my husband) do?
7)Sponser's company name?
8)My visa status?
9)How long I've been here?
10)Whether or not I have kids?
11)Whether she wants to stay here permanently?
12)Whether your daughter wants to settle in US permanently?Does that discussion ever came up?
Over all it took about 15 mins to finish this.
Then the officer asked for the sponser's docs and asked her to pay the fee.Then my Mom thanked the officer and the translator and gave the finger prints.
Who ever attended the interview around that time got their visas accepted it seems.
Don't know how long she's been granted visa yet.
