My Experience @ Chennai Consulate
Hi All,

First of all my best wishes for all who are about to appear for the OFC/Interview in Chennai or anywhere else in India.

1. OFC --> Nothing much to say about it. Only suggestion would be dont arrive much early. Try to reach only half an hour before your OFC appointment. Or else you will be literally drained out under the sun till u reach inside for the needful in Chennai. They will take ur finger prints separately for left/right hand thumbs & remaining 4 fingers & also retina scan with photo. They might ask very basic questions like

a) Name
b) DOB
c) Passport No. [ I was not able to answer it though. ]

** Documents required are a) Appointment letter b) DS 160 confirmation c) Passport original

2. Interview @ U.S Consulate Chennai --->

i) Stand in queue ii) Keep your mobile with the guy just outside the consulate for 10 rs. iii) Show your Appointment letter, DS 160 confirmation, Passport original at the entrance iv) Submit all your belongings for scan v) Wait at the counter for your finger prints to be verified vi) Stand in Queue for your number to come to enter into the Interview area vii) Sit & Wait until your token number is assigned to any of the interview counters viii) Questions asked:-

a) Pleasantries
b) Why so many guys from Indian S/W giant YYYY today. Replied even I am surprised and excited to see so.
c) Client Name -- had to spell it since the VO was not able to make out
d) Salary
e) Project Details
f) Roles & Responsibilites
g) Location

VO replied we will notify in 3-5 working days. He never said my visa was approved.

Received the stamped passport within 3 working days. Used the courier service present inside the consulate.

Tips:-

i) Try to keep ur cool.
ii) Make an eye contact with the VO
iii) B confident
iv) Dont contradict yourself
v) Keep all documents in place
vi)Dress formally

I hope and wish everyone succeeds. BOL.

ImmiHelp has been a great help to say the least. Cheers.
