My journey has ended
This is my time line. I hope this can help you.
I entered the US on a B1/B2. Applied for asylum.
Married to us citizen
Field office:Oakland Park Florida.
Original filing date : March 2019.
Accepted application date . July 2019. Bcuz our attorney had sent out application twice with error.
So priority date. July 2019
First Bio appointment: 8-2-19. Usps couldn’t deliver the mail. Maybe bcuz we had move to another apartment.
Second Bio: 9-13-18
First RFE:for co- sponsor and birth certificate:9-13-19.
Couldn’t deliver by USPS maybe for same reason.
Second RFE: 9-24-19.
EAD in hand : 12-29-19
First appointment canceled bcuz of COVID-19: March 18th 2020.
Rescheduled appointment: 9-16-20.
We had interview at 10:00
9:15 pulled up In parking lot
9:30 walked in. We had been called at 10 :40
Interview went smooth. Officer question wife about how we met, the love story. Then a few questions about my asylum. Then jumped into the I-485.
Asking for co-sponsor name.
Asked for medical.
She asked if we had any questions. We said no.
She said my name will be hyphenated on the green card just like the way it is on my birth certificate. Bcuz it’s not on driver license. Told me I can choose to remove the hyphen when I am applying for citizenship.
Asked us if we don’t have any questions, we said no.
Then gave me a paper about the interview. Then said I’m gonna receive a decision in the mail.
I hope this gives hope and courage. Bcuz I know some of you been waiting for years to get an interview.
Stay strong and positive.
Will let you know when any update pop up!!!!
