Passed 😃!
My appointment was at 8:45 am at the federal plaza on the 9th floor. I arrived on time but the line to get in was extremely long. I entered the building after 9 am. Went to the 9th floor and was then told to go to the 4th floor. I checked in with an officer and sat for 10 mins and was then called for my interview. The officer was exceptionally nice. After entering his office, I was sworn in and my fingerprints were taken. He asked me to confirm my name, DOB, address and inquired about other names used. Went through some of my paperwork, corrected the name of my college b/c it was incorrectly spelled.

Next was the civics test.
Civics questions
What stops one branch of government from becoming too powerful?
How many amendments does the Constitution have?
What does the President’s Cabinet do?
What is the highest court in the United States?
What is one reason colonists came to America?
There were 13 original states. Name three.

Reading: Where does the president live?

Writing: The president lives in the White House.

He then went back to my paperwork and inquired about my marriage, asked if I were still married, what does my husband do and the name of the company he worked for. He then asked if I had any proof we were still married. I told him I didn’t have anything on me to prove I was still married. He said, not a problem. Then I remembered I brought transcripts of our taxes which were filed jointly. He took them, and said it will do. He asked if we paid our taxes every year and inquired about any refund I received for school. Just told him I get $200 from financial aid, which is the amount I get per semester. He also asked what I’m studying and how long I’ve been in school.

He then went over the yes and no questions every applicant has to answer and the interview was completed. He congratulated me and told me what will happen next. Because I’m so eager to vote, he issued me my oath letter the very same day.
My oath ceremony is scheduled for 10/30/2020.

I’m so glad this process is almost over and I wish everyone the very best with their future interview.
