Adjustment of Status - I-485

Hello everyone. My journey has come to an end. I received my Green card in the mail yesterday . While I will be moving on to the I-751 group a little ways from now, I will be popping in here periodically just to encourage everyone who is still pursuing this journey. It feels weird but this group definitely has kept me encouraged , I wish you all success and May everyone receive their Cards. Pray and don’t give up hope, God answers.

Here is my timeline, Newark FO
P.D. 5/21/19-marriage based to USC
EAD issued 8/13/19: I did an expedite through the senators office in N.J.
ready to schedule 8/19/19
Interview was scheduled 2/5/20 for 3/26/20, cancelled due to Covid
Rescheduled 7/20/20 for 8/19/20. Approved 10 minutes post interview . Card mailed to me on 9/3/20, received on 9/8/20. For some reason, they are not providing tracking numbers on email. I had to call USCIS for the number yesterday . Good thing I did because the post office almost lost it. I called them because when I tracked it it said out for delivery on 9/7/20 but never got it and the status changed to ready for pick up.

A few pointers
1) Be patient, everything will work out
2) if you feel you should have heard from USCIs call them, they are supposed to be a service provider to assist us in this journey. Call your senator if things are taking too long
3) I suggest going on the phone at 8:00am on the dot to call them, you will get someone right away instead of waiting 1 hour
