My interview was conducted at the Federal Building at Newark, New Jersey.
My appointment was for 7:45am, I arrived at 6:45am. They didnt let us inside the building until 7:00am. My name was called at 7:48am. The immigration officer called me by the window and asked me for my green card, passport and my driver's license. He told me he needs to verify my documents and so he asked me to have a seat in the waiting area. About 8:10am my name was called and then I went in. We went over the correct spelling of my name, d.o.b. and address to make sure it was correct. The entire interview took about 12 minutes. I was asked 6 questions. Then he asked me to signed the important documents, hand me back my passport, and driver's license. He told me the interview has been completed and congratulated me. The IO gave me a paper to fill out when I go back in the waiting room and told me to hand it and greencard to the person at the window when my name is called. My name was called at the window at about 15 mins later. They asked me to review the naturalization paper for any errors, and asked me for my greencard. She told me that the Naturalization ceremony would commence at 9:30am, so I could go to the cafeteria if I want to or I could stay in the waiting area. The ceremony took about 30 mins. After we sworn in we took pictures and that was pretty much my experience. I'm really happy and grateful to be a US Citizen..All Praises To GOD.
