No response from Chennai consulate
Hi everyone,
I attended visa interview in Sep 07 for my H1B in Chennai consulate but since I was not carrying my client letter and TAX docs with me unfortunately, I was given a 221G(blue) letter by VO and he asked me to put the checked documents in VFS drop box once I get them from my employer. I got the docs from my employer and put them in Bangalore VFS drop box on 9th Nov 2007. I haven't anything from them till now and whenever I call them VFS folks reply that my case is under processing and consulate hasn't given any thing to them till now.
Someone, please let me know that how much time this process takes? I know it varies from person to person and case to case. My records are clean. I hold a B1 visa and have travelled USA last year and around 7 yrs experience in IT industry. I have a masters degree and work for an IT giant in R&D. My employer in USA is also a reputed one and very clean in their records. So, could someone please point out, what might be taking so long for them to get back to me. Any timely response will be greatly appreciated.
