Can anyone explain to me the difference between the forms I-979 and I-979C?
I want to apply for a driver's license, but my EAD seems to be stuck forever since I am waiting for the rescheduling of biometrics. The instruction on my state's RMV website says that form I-979C may be used as proof of legal presence. I only have forms I-979 that I received as NOA. USCIS website says they are both Notices of Action, and the difference between the two is unclear to me. Did anyone here apply for the driver's license with I-979? Does it really matter whether it's I-979 or I-979C?
