H1B, H4 Visa

I would like to share my experience about my visa stamping. DUI is such a painful and frustrating experience. So guys those who have dui and awaiting stamping or visa approval, please go though it. It might help.

First some suggestions from my own experience:
1.> Don't discuss this with friends and family. Keep it to yourself or 1 or 2 very close friends. Nobody cares. You don't want to be a topic of discussion during drinks.
2.> Hire a good lawyer. It's better to spend 6-10k on lawyer than regret all your life. Trust me every penny is worth it.
3.> Please stop drink n drive. It's not worth, you must have known by now.
4.> DUI will not affect H1B don't listen to friends Or google. google you will find mostly -ve statements/posts. The reason is people don't care to update if they have successfully got the visa after case.

So now on to my story. Got DUI on nov 2017. Case decision came April. Traveled May 2018. Visa stamped June 2018.

Interview:

Interviewer: Good morning!!
Me: A very good morning to you mam!!

Interviewer: Can i see your petition. (H1B)
Me: Yes please

Interviewer: Where you did college
Me: I answered

Interviewer: Which year
Me: I answered

Interviewer: Can you tell me about you experience
Me: I answered. ( make sure you tell how many years you have stayed in US )

Interviewer: It seems you have dui
Me: Yes. I had in 2017 but my case was dismissed (Although case was not dismissed- it was reduced to city fault , but i had a dismissal report for my license. In most cases you will have that. It will be written dismissed. Make sure you carry all court papers. They will ask court decision paper. It has to stamped from court. )

Interviewer: Can i see documents
Me: Yes please. I gave my license as well as court decision paper.

Interviewer: Wait for 5 mins i will update the record in system so that next time you don't have to carry this paper.
Me: Sure

Interviewer: Ok your visa will be stamped in 5 business days. Have a good day.
Me: Thank you mam!! you too have a good day.

Guys once again please don;t be disheartened/down. Everything happens for a reason, maybe god prevented something major which could have happened. Please please dont listen to people and get panicked from google searches.
