NYC 10 years green card approved
Hi everyone,
I am gonna tell about our whole story to inform all the Nyc applicants..
We got married on January 31 2017..
My pd is May 2017..
Ead is September 2017..
Our office was Brooklyn but we moved to Queens on September 2018 and requested an address change from Uscis..On October they scheduled our interview for November 17 2018..
But the day before the interview, an officer called me and said “you dont come to interview tomorrow because you changed your address..so we will reschedule your interview from Queens office”..
Actually Brooklyn office is on 8th floor and Queens office is on 9th floor so its not that far..We didn’t attend the interview and after that we received a notification says your application has been denied because you didn’t attend the interview..
Our lawyer told that it was happening in the office and just told us to stay calm..
After that they scheduled us a new interview on January 15 2019..We went to Federal Plaza on time and waited about an hour..An officer called our name and she didn’t invite us inside the office..she just said you dont have any case here..Probably they closed the case because we didn’t attend the first interview..she looked for our case again but she couldn’t find it..She said we will reschedule an interview for you and we left..
They immediately rescheduled an interview for us on February 11 and we received the notification just a week before the interview..
We went to Federal Plaza again..An officer called us in and made our interview..She was so aggressive and tried to aggravate my wife..Asked us very compeller questions..She looked like she didn’t believe us from the beginning..After an hour interview has ended and she gave us the paper for review..
About two weeks later, we received another letter for stokes interview on March 13..They asked for another and newer evidences like new pay stubs and employment letters..
We went to Federal Plaza again for the stokes interview..This time our officer was a very nice man..She called us in, tried to explain the situation nicely..
He interviewed me first about an hour, asked about maybe 100 questions..After that he interviewed my wife with the same questions..At the end, he took us before and said there is minor differences between your answers..We had like 3 different answers..He told us to wait for the mail..
At the same day, I checked Uscis app and case was approved..
Today my green card delivered to me..
It was very tough times for us..For a couple months we handled with a lot of interview and stress..But thank God we came to an happy end..
I hope the same end for everyone who is waiting here for a long time to get approved..
If you have any questions, I would love to help you..
Thank you..
