NYC Filers, I-485 sent in December 2019 or later (3)
Hi,

If any NY filers (any FOs) who had sent his I-485 in December 2019 or later, and had been already approved or re/scheduled for an interview, please share his experience.

So far, I have been following many experiences here, and I have found that there are many cases filed as early as February 2020 that have been already approved or scheduled, unfortunately, they are from different FOs (not NY). On the other hand, I continue finding more cases approved/scheduled in NY FOs, but there were filed only up to November 2019.

This is why I am asking for December 2019 NYC filers (when the I-485 is received), though my PD is May 2019 (EB-2 ROW). I quite sure that the received date has some impact too and the processing time is not entirely based on the PD.

UPDATES:
========

I just called USCIS representative to find out why I have not received a response for my service request, placed on August 21, 2020 (it says I should expect a reply by September, 12, 2020). This is the second service request I placed. It is not because my case had already reached the 12.5 months maximum for New York Field office (EB cases), but because my interview was already scheduled for April 14, 2020; was cancelled on March 30, 2020; and it has been almost half a year without any update. It was supposed to end in April 14, 2020, it makes no sense that so many months had passed with no resolution for my case.

I got some answers and time frames (from USCIS representative):
1. I have to wait at least a month for my service request response, it does not matter the expected date for response USCIS itself added to the confirmation email; So, I will have to wait till the next week (hopefully the response will have something new, and not the same "your interview was cancelled, just wait").
2. Because my field office (Manhattan, federal plaza) opened in July, 20, 2020 (more than a month later that 96% of the other fields office nation wide), I have to wait at least 90 days to receive a resolution (that could be a re-scheduled interview or waiver); So, I have to wait till October 20, 2020.

- nycDec2020, in your experience: https://www.immihelp.com/experiences/post/tier-2-within-a-few-weeks-nycmanhattan-509891/, you mentioned that it was a matter of weeks before our cases could start moving, it has pass almost a month since then, do you have some updates?

- nych42019, if you have some news, please let me know.

- nicolenyc (with an interview for October 2020), would you please share your PD and received dates?

I appreciate your help on this matter.

Thanks and regards
