NYC Interview Manhattan Filer
Hi all,

We had our GC interview on Thursday (married to USC) 10/01 at federal plaza. I am a Manhattan filer, PD 07/30/2019

The interview, I think, went well. They mostly asked my husband (US Citizen) questions and asked me some basic security questions.

After swearing us in and asking for our identification, he asked us each some questions.

They asked my husband:

- Wife's name
-Wife's DOB
- Where was wife born
- What is wife's occupation
-When did you first start dating
- when did you decide to get married
- who was at the wedding
- how to you adapt to different cultural background
- what do you two like to do together
- What did you do on your first date
- When did the relationship turn serious
- What is one bad trait of your wife
- Has your wife been married before
- Does she have any children

The asked me
 - What is your husband's full name
- What is his DOB
- What is his occupation
- How did you handle the cultural difference
- Has your husband been married before
- Does he have any children
- Have you ever engaged in or do you intend to engage in prostitution
- Have you ever had any military or weapons training
- Have you ever been charged or arrested for a crime

Then he asked us for some evidence so we showed him an album we had made of our relationship, and the wedding invitations, and a bunch of other documents but he barely flipped through it. He looked through our photo album but didn't even ask us any questions and then said the interview had concluded and gave us our documents back. We handed him some stuff but I doubt he's going to even look through it!

I asked him how it went and he asked me how I thought it went, to which I replied I thought it went well. So he said " I think you answered your own question". So I nervously laughed and left with my hubby and lawyer.

He gave us the white paper indicating that the case will be reviewed and a decision made within 120 days. So far, no updates online and I'm eagerly hoping that I get an approval notice soon!

Has anyone in NYC who's had an interview recently gotten their approval notice online? How long after your interview did you get the update?

Thank you!!
