OCI Card Processing and match up time
I got my OCI card in ~ 50 days. (just week before I was traveling to India).
OCI CKGS processing is highly irritating, inefficient and waste of hell lot of time. They ask same information thousand time on 1st CKGS website and same info in Govt Site... They do not have any control on the status. I was calling couple of times to CKGS; 1st of they take almost an hour to pick the phone and then they do not assist intelligently. such a big clumsy and convoluted process.
There so many redundant processing... like 1st of why notary is required .. why matchup is required... No body know why so many steps are made and why they required at all...
they take 1 week to verify the doc... then they send to Embassy .. so many back and forth...
They Must learn something from others..,
It took exactly 8 days (including weekend) to reach san Francisco from Delhi.
most of times CKGS does not have any control on the doc .. They even do not know where is my OCI card at the moment and they do not help at all with right & actual information. they speak like robot..
Luckily I called Embassy ( on OCI Ext @ 415-668-0662 ) directly and they helped me to dispatch my
OCI card on same day. They ask me to write an email to Erlina Valerio (Erlina Valerio <[email protected]> ) u can google her contact otherwise she is very sincere and responsive on emails.
But CKGS Must learn something from others...
