OCI in lieu of PIO - SFO
I applied for OCI in lieu of PIO at SFO around Sept 20. On Sept. 27 I received an email stating "Your Application is ‘Under Process’ at the Consulate.". I've been tracking the status of my application on the GOI site since then and find that the status has remained "UNDER-PROCESS" till now. The CKGS FAQ states that OCI in lieu of PIO takes around 15-25 business days for SFO jurisdiction, so I am hoping mine will be completed soon. I expect to travel to India in about 3 weeks and was wondering if I should apply for a tourist visa before buying my ticket. Has anyone applied for OCI in lieu of PIO at SFO around Sept 2018 and received their OCI already?
