Interview date received April 6, 2018
Interview set for May 9, 2018

Our interview was at 9:45am. We were on time and we also had our lawyer with us.
We gave in our appointment letter on arrival and was told to wait until our names were called.
We waited maybe 30 mins before we were called by the officer. We were sworn in and ask to be seated.
The officer first started out with verifying my name, address and dob and asked for my husband's name,
address and dob. He went on to verify where I use to work, how long I was employed there and when i entered the US. Then he went on to the security questions.

He then said he is going to ask my husband to wait in the lobby while I'm being questioned and then vice versa. I was questioned for about 30-40 minutes and then my husband and i switched places and he was questioned for about 10-15 mins. The officer called me back in the room to finish up the interview, he went on to tell us that he hasn't reached his decision yet and he will not be able to approve us on spot. He says all his interviews are the same, he doesn't approve on spot. (Not sure if he is just saying that). He says we can check the case number online and or wait on a letter in the mail for the outcome.

Our lawyer said we did a good job with our interview but for some reason I'm a bit worried. Our marriage is real but I'm not sure why he went straight to separation when he started out interview.

So I guess I'm waiting...... sigh.
Anyone else with the same experience, did you eventually get approved, is normal for this to happen?
Our interview was the 9th and the status hasn't changed from "interview scheduled".
