OMG, it's over
Two weeks ago I had my adjustment of status interview at Newark field office.
Me and my spouse waited for 1 hour to be called in.
The officer was a male in his 40s, very serious, but polite.

He walked us in his room and started asking my spouse lots of questions right away, like very quickly - my full name and date of birth, my parents' names, where and when we met, about our house, rent. And then he asked me the same questions. It took around 10-12 minutes. Then I answered yes/no questions and I gave him (by his will) our photos, lease agreement, health insurance cards and bank statements with both of our names. And he gave us a standard letter saying that my case needs to be reviewed. When we got home I checked status of my case and it was saying NEW CARD IS BEING PRODUCED. I was appalled and happy. And today it says CASE APPROVED. The whole process took 15-18 minutes.

Overall the adjustment of status process took 10 months. So now I am waiting for my green card to be mailed. I am so happy and stressed out at the same time. I will get 10 years green card. Thank God it is over.

And I am very glad that our officer was very kind that he approved us on the same day!
