H1B, H4 Visa

Hello People,

Let me first acknowledge all those people who have been sharing their experience. This site has helped me a GREAT deal.

Visa Interview

VO : How r u doing?
Myself : fine. How r u doing?
VO : Good

VO: Can i see your PG Certificate?
M : I have just done my Bachelors in Engineering
VO : Can i see the certificate?
M : Sure(gave him the certificate)

VO : Can i see individual Mark sheets
M : Sure(gave him the marksheets)

VO : Your experience Certificates
Gave him the experience Certificates

VO : What is the Designation offered by Company A?
M : Programmer Analyst

VO : What was your designation in your previous company(not the current one)?
M : xxx

VO : The client in your previous company?
M:(For a minute i couldnt recollect who it was.. i was absolutely zapped.. it was 2.5 yrs ago and for some reason i was just not able to recall.. in the end i gave him some name.

VO : which module you were working on?
M: I didnt understnd wht he asked so said "come again?"
VO : he spelt "M-O-D-U-L-E"
M : I told him i was working on the Purchasing module.

VO : what will be your job profile?
M : Gave him my Job Profile document.

VO : Who will you be working for?
M : i will be working at the Development center of company A where they have lot of projects and i am identified for a a client called YY.

VO : What does YY do?
M : They are into hosting internet and intranet applications. They have projects on Oracle Java etc..

VO : Can i see the client letter?
M:Since i am working at company A's development center i do not have a client letter.

VO:Show me company A's US photoes
M : showed him

VO:You have worked for Company B and Compnay C(Big MNCs) do you think this looks like a Development center?
M : I didnt know what to answer. Just told him yes it does(It frankly didnt). He laughed sarcastically. Very humilating.

VO : There must be somekind of agrement between Company A and the client
M:They have a MAster Service Level Agreement
VO : Show me that
M:I do not have it right now

He was silent for the next 2 minutes and was typing somthing on his system. I didnt know what he was going to do.

VO: Your visa has been approved. It will be deliverd in another 3 days to yoour Office address please pay the DD at the Cashier Counter.

At no point did i show any kind of nervousness it was more like a chitchat. And the guy was absolutely cool. He is just interesed in knowing whether you and the company u r joining is genuine. Thats all. Please make sure that you make eye contact with VO when you are talking. And do pray a lot before you go. It does wonders. It did for me!!!
