Parents got visitors visa
My parents got a visitors visa.
Thank you every one for posting questions.
It was an amazing help in preparation.

Their visa was rejected in 2009 for a telugu interview. In their application i sent them money and i kept that they are self sponsoring. I wanted them to look independent. My father is retired and mom is housewife. I invited them for my graduation.

Q:VO asked why are you going to USA.
A: dad answered to attend my sons graduation.

Q: Will your son come back after graduation
A: Dad got confused if he answered no, that would be bad, as i went for education. He answered Yes

Q: If your son is coming back, why do you want to go?!!
This was a bouncer from VO

Q: How much do you earn?

Q: How many kids and where are they?
2 in India, 1 son in Pittsburgh, 1 daughter in Columbus.

For the mistake i did as self sponsoring, VO asked my dad for his financials rather than mine.
We thought it was rejected for several reasons 1) no strong ties 2) self sponsoring

This year they applied again for a telugu interview. I had no hope, as I am their only son and in USA on H1b. They have two daughters (married) in India and one daughter(married) in USA.

Interview:
First my parents went in and wished VO namaskaram and stood before her.
Questions asked:
1) who are you going to meet?
A: our son

2) What does he do?
A: research associate

3) How long has he been working?
A: Since 2004

4) What do you do?
A: retired

5) What do you do? to mom
A: housewife

6) How many kids?
A: 4

7) Where are they?
A: 2 daughters in India, 1 son in Pittsburgh... interrupted

8) Where is your youngest daughter?
A: Columbus

VO starts typing..my dad got tensed..he started speaking

My son is doing a full time job in University ...

VO said you are already issued VISA, you will get it in mail in five days.
