Adjustment of Status - I-485

hi I’ve been married for 8 years to a us citizen with 3 children the oldest 13. I’ve came to the US with a 2 year green card via my father , it was never a priority get my adjustment process started for my husband, more narsistic than anything. Forward to April 13.2020
USCIS received all my applications because of COVID hit everything freezed until November 13.2020 which I was sent for biometrics in queens NY, now I’ve been constantly looking for any updates and I don’t even see the fact that I’ve taken my fingerprints. I called this past Tuesday and the person who I spoke with told me the he had put out a resquest and I should get an answer in a week or 2 due to the fact that it’s been 8 months on no combo card or any update in the system, regarding my case. I’m extremely confused I don’t know what to expect from this. Is it my field office with the whole COVID situation that’s been slowing my process or my case in particular??
