permanent residency question
i was recently approved for my permanent residency card in march 2011. i was able to get approved though a family based visa. i was told i would receive my actual permanent residency card in september of 2011. i got married at the end of march to a us citizen. my lawyer told me that my residency card would be invalid beacuse i got married and that i had to re apply. i guess i wasnt supposed to get married until after i got my card but i wasnt aware of that IMPORTANT fact. does anyone know if this is true? do i have to re apply even though i was approved9 but still havent received the card) if anyone has any info or could shed some light on this matter please let me know
thank you
