Petition not in PIMS
I had H1B visa stamping appointment in Montreal on June 27th, 2018.
It is my first extension, first time visa stamping was done in Chennai.
My visa was applied on June 1st, approved on June 7th and then I thought 20 days are good enough for petition to be updated in PIMS (I was very wrong).
Visa officer told me that they have not received my petition from USCIS (which I believe is case not being updated on PIMS) and they have already contacted USCIS. Since my current visa is still valid she returned my passport and said they will contact me when they receive my petition from USCIS.
Now, it has been one month since my appointment and there is no update on my case. Most of the 'PIMS not being updated' cases I found on forums were resolved in 2-5 business days. But there is absolutely no update on my case. I don't know what to do except sending them email (for which I get very standard and useless reply).
Has anyone been in this situation?
Is there a way I can check if my case in updated on PIMS?
Can anyone help me in anyway?
