Greetings!
I have been following this site since February 2016. Now its time for me to share my journey.
I have been married to my husband since October 2012, who is a US born citizen. I gave birth to our son in November 2013 (after our marriage). However the difference in my case from everybody else is that my husband has been incarcerated since September 2014. I decided to see a lawyer when I was ready to apply for my AOS which I did. My lawyer has been very helpful and cooperative from the beginning. Here is my timeline bellow:
USCIS received application: January 11 2016 (for i130, i785 and i485)
Fingerprint : February 2016
RFE sent in mail: February 12 2016
USCIS received RFE: March 7 2016
Received EAD: April 2016 (first week in April)
Interview notice: received text and email August 22 for interview date for September 21 2016
Because of my situation with husband incarcerated my lawyer have to accompany me to my interview. I am a little worried because after reading this forum for months I have never seen anyone with my situation so I decided to share this.
Is anyone familiar with anyone in my situation and how and what was the outcome??
