Question about lease
Hello everyone,

My wife and I dated for 3 years and got married last summer in June. I applied for green card in August through my wife who is a US Citizen. Since getting married, she has lived in Illinois while I have worked in Southern California. She lives with her parents while last year i lived with my relatives in Southern California (hence no lease to my name). However in August, we signed a lease in Illinois (a lease to live with her parents) while I continued working in California. This is the lease we included in our application and I use this address as my permanent address.

In January I moved to Northern California for work and signed a lease for my current apartment. My question is should I add my wife to this Northern California lease or should I leave her out of it? I am leaning toward adding her to the lease (as this is further proof of us doing things together) but worried if that is going to annul the Illinois lease we signed.

Thanks so much in advance
