Really Confusing situation
Hello guys,
I have a bit of a complicated situation. Littlebit of a context:
I submitted my i-485 back on September of 2017 in New-York.
On March 25th 2018, I have moved to VA and submitted change of address request through USCIS website.
On April 6th 2018, got a confirmation that my change of address request was completed.
On March 12th 2019, I received an email that my interview is ready to be scheduled. I waited couple weeks and didnt get my interview notice. They have suggested me to call back in couple of weeks and they will fax me the copy of my interview notice.
On April 4th 2019, I called them back requesting a copy of my interview notice to be faxed to me. I got the fax copy, and I have noticed that they have scheduled my interview in NY. On the same day, I called them to get my interview rescheduled.
On April 9th 2019, request to reschedule my interview was completed.
On May 3rd 2019, I called them again asking for a status of my case, and I was told that my case still hasnt been transferred to VA, moreover, my interview itself is marked as "No Show", however, they did NOT say that my case is denied/closed.
Has anyone have had a situation like this before? If so, what were your steps to get it sorted out. I have talked to an attorney on friday and I am thinking on handing my case to them from now on. I was handling everything myself until now.
