Reapplying for Visitor Visa
Hi,

My mother's (widow) visitor visa application was rejected twice. First time in the month of May '03 and second time on Nov '03.

When they refused first time , it was because of 'insufficnet document'(my H1B extension pettion - 221 g). When I took another appointment this November and gave all the documents with my revalidated passport copy, H1B petition, etc,.

This second time she was asked bunch of questions like:

1. How do you convince that you will be returning back to India after the visit to USA? - My daughter and brother are here working and have to return back.
2. When did your son visit you to last time? - more than 2 years

Her application was rejected under 214(b).I was expecting that she would be asked to show the 'missing document' from the first interview and we were very much disappointed because of the rejction.

Additional Info:

My mother is getting TN govt family pension which she mentioned in the interview also.

But she was not carrying any bank statement or land document for the second interview.

Can I reapply again for the visitor visa after few months(March or April '04) using drop box facility? If so , will couple of lakks in the bank deposit in her name or land document will increase the chance of getting her visa?

thanks in advance,
Sridharan
