I am having tough time with IMG PATRIOT AMERICA bought through buyamericaninsurance.
I bought it for for my MIL. After few months of coverage she had pain in the hand and had 2 physician visits and one session physiotherapy.
When the Dr office made the claim, it was rejected, I have no clue why, may be want delay the payment.(Though insubuy.com stats Dr office can file directly). and finaly after all the confusion I filed the claim on 1/14/08, today (2/11/08, in a month, that is fast) I got a usps mail with details of payment. After deductible some are paid at 90% and some at 80%( No clue why ). This payment is only for physcian visit. Physiotherapy was not paid stating that it requires copy of primary physician's order (?). where in the hell I will have the copy. Both Physician and Physiotherapist works for the same clinic. Irony is all the claims are from the same clinic and under the same physcian name. Now I have to call Dr office, get the order copy (if there is one)and whole nine yards. One simple phone call from IMG to the Dr's office should have cleared the problem in few minutes. I feel this is only another delaying tactic than anything else.
when Insurance company is so prompt in collecting premium why dont you show the same sincerity in payments. Well every company is the same
