I had purchased Seven Corners insurance from insubuy.com for my visiting in-laws.
Unfortunately, my father-in-law passed away on early morning on one Saturday. I called Seven Corners claims department and found that it was closed.
Not knowing what else to do, I called insubuy.com, the broker from where I bought the insurance. A lady picked up the phone and I explained the situation. I was transferred to Mr. Narendra Khatri. After understanding the situation, he told me that for the evacuation and the repatriation of remains, there is a separate number at Seven Corners and gave me the number. Instead of leaving me alone to deal with it, he offered to conference call with them to make sure everything goes smoothly. I didn't have much details about the policy such as certificate number and all. Narendra did all the research and provided all the information to them. After taking all the information, the rep at Seven Corners told us that he is part of just the messaging service and somebody would get back to me on Monday morning.
That was clearly unacceptable. This was an urgent matter and body lying around for 2 more days was no good as we had to make our own travel arrangements as well. After that call, Mr. Narendra assured me that he would do his best to handle the issue as soon as possible.
I assume that Mr. Narendra used his influence and contacted the upper management who in turn got the ball rolling immediately and I was told later by Seven Corners that it was a mistake and things should be have been taken care of right away itself. Anyway, I started getting calls from appropriate people from Seven Corners who actually were handling the situation. After that, everything was taken care of correctly for repatriation of remains.
Mr. Narendra even called a couple of times later on that day and even on Sunday to make sure everything was going smoothly.
I am really thankful to Mr. Narendra who provided me extreme help and guidance in the tough time when I was not even in the right mind to think through anything.
I confidently recommend insubuy.com for all your visitors medical insurance needs when your relatives are visiting USA. You will be in good hands and I am sure you will get the great service I received (though I hope you never have to use the insurance!)
