Hi , I had an interview today ( April 26/2017 at 9:45am ) with my two kids ( 3 and 1 yr old) in the US embassy here in Addis Ababa , Ethiopia , my self and my wife have a B1B2 visa which is still valid for both of us ( Until 2019) . We have been in the US several times ( me 4x and my wife 5x) and My sister ( married and has two kids) who is a legal permanent US resident who moved to the US 4 yrs back through the DV program invited us ( with or two kids ) for this year summer vacation and family reunion , he how the interview goes
Me: Good morning
VO: Good morning too ( with good eye contact)
VO : Why do want to go with you family
Me : To visit my sister and for truism purpose
VO : where do you live here
Me: xx place
VO: do you own the home
Me : No , it is rental and we are trying to own our own home through the government housing system
VO: Do you mean you are constructing one ?
Me : No , there is a government house system were we are saving
VO: can you show me
Me: Gave ( him the saving Book for the housing )
VO ; what is this ...this is simply a Bank book you are showing me
Me : This is a saving account for housing
VO: Were do work?
Me: I work in the YYYY as YYYY
VO: can you show me
Me : Gave him the employment letter
VO : Looked at the letter and was writing some thing in his commuter for long time
VO : So what is your wife working
Me : She is managing here own business
VO : What type of Business
Me : transport related
VO: Can you show me any document
Me : gave
VO : What is exactly her duty , is driving the car
Me : No , she renting
VO: He was tying again on his computer again for long time
Finally says , sorry you can apply again some time in the future your application is not accepted for today
Me : Ok, Thank you so much
So can ask you for any help how we can change our status and improve the chance of getting the visa for the kids
Me and my wife have valid visas , we have been into the US several times ? We never thought we will be rejected for the kids
