San Francisco Naturalization Experience
Hello everyone!
I have finally got my citizenship today.
Applied: 1/17/2020
Biometrics: 2/7/2020
Naturalization interview notice: 4/7/2021
Naturalization interview: 5/5/2021 8:00am
Oath: 5/5/2021 11:15 am
The interview was in person. The immigration officer was very nice. Asked the regular 6 civic and history questions. Now don’t remember which ones, but it is definitely from the 100 questions. Then reading and writing tests on an iPad.
It took around 15-20 minutes, and I was done.
The oath was later the same day. Very well organized.
It took around 15-20 minutes. They gave the naturalization certificates first and asked us to sit. Then one of the supervisors read out loud the oath and everyone repeated after her.
That’s it.
