The IO, his name is Rose, went through I-130 first, ALL QUESTIONS are from the form. Then move on I-485. IO asked ALL YES/ NO QUESTIONS. My friend was honest about work without authorization by answer YES, while she filed NO on the form. The IO just asked where and how long, then he moved to next question is “Have you ever violated the terms of your nonimmigrant status?”. She said YES because she worked without authorization, although the form stated NO. She wants to be honest because she never knows whether USICIS finds out or not, and they will catch her if she lies. She got married to US citizen; therefore, she knows it will be waived. She also said YES on “Have you ever been arrested, cited, or detained by any law enforcement?” She said YES because she had traffic ticket for fail to stop at stop sign. She provided the proof from Court that she paid the ticket and finished traffic school. The IO copied it. Then the IO asked for joint docs (statement for bank credit + debit, insurance -dental, vision, medical, 410K with the wife is authorized, gym-Chuze membership, phone bill T-Mobile, internet – Spectrum, car insurance,..). They brought 3 photo albums and they were asked to select 15-20 pics after the IO looked through 3 albums very quickly. While they were selecting pics, the IO asked “ how many rooms in the house?”. Then he printed out white paper and checked the first box that case needs to be reviewed, and walked them out.
For the I-130A RFE, she believed that the lawyer submitted the old version of I-130A which is G325A, therefore, she got RFE to resubmit
My friend wants to say that please be honest, do not lie and patient during the process. We want to wish everyone luck and get green card soon.
