02/02 - Received by VFS
02/04 - Email/SMS confirmation that package was received
02/11 - Emailed VFS support about status and received a response they are working on applications received on Jan 25th. They asked me to wait for 5-6 days.
02/19 - Email/SMS confirmation that Application under process in VFS
02/20 - Application In transit to embassy. After this; we should check status on the government's portal https://portal4.passportindia.gov.in/Online/index.html
02/22 - Embassy received passport application
02/24 - File number generated
03/16 and 03/17 - Tweeted CGISFO about application status but received no response
03/18 - Print initiated and received email that police verification has been initiated
03/22 - Passport has been printed and will be delivered shortly
03/23 - Received email from VFS that passport will be dispatched with courier
03/23 - Received email from Fedex that package has been picked up
03/24 - Passport delivered
03/27 - Police called family in India and asked them to visit station with my photo id to verify the address. My brother went to the station and provided this information.
