hey guys,
I went to for my interview yesterday and it went really well, the interview was set for 2:50pm and we got there at 2:45pm (that wasn’t good). We were called in at around 3:30pm and the ISO swore us in, he asked for our birth certificate and then started going through the files…
ISO: When was the last time you came to the USA?
ME: 2012 JUNE
ISO: You came in as a visitor?
Me: No, as a student
ISO: What school and what program?
ME: SDSU and for my masters in computer science
ISO: did you finish school?
ME: no (we both know paying as international is crazy so no further question from him about that lol….)

Then he looked at his screen again and started asking question about address, he wanted to know when we started living together after we were married, we have been on our lease for over a year and we’ve been married since May 2013.
Then he started going through the yes and no questions and after that he asked me what evidence I have to show my marriage is bonafide. I gave him the following:
1. Rental lease/agreement
2. Joint bank account/check book
3. Utilities (gas, electric, internet…)
4. Photos

Then he went through the bank statement and ask what my phone company and I said at&t and he asked why we are not on the same plan? I told him my wife takes care of her mum and she already has her on her plan so it’s more expensive adding me lol (just to say something).

Then he typed something on his computer gave me a copy and said “okay you are approved for a temporary green card”. I was about saying my friends at “immihelp.com” said if you are married for 2yrs you get a permanent green card for 10yrs………… and he said the temporary is because your marriage is not up to 2yrs, right there I said “Noooo I’m married for 2yrs 5months” and he smiled and said I know I was testing you and he printed another copy that says permanent resident approved bablablabla…..

He congratulated me and told me I should get my green card in the mail within 2wks. Not up to an hour when I left i got a message that “new card is being produced”.

Guess what? I forgot our check books over there do you think I should go there? I don’t think I want to go to that building again, the bank can give me another.
Guys feel free to ask me any question.

i wont forget to tell you this, i was on my way to the interview when i got a message about my work permit that " case was approved" lol
