Hi y’all
San Diego filer here, B1B2 – AOS and PD Feb 22, 2020. After the cancelation of biometrics last March 30, there is no update whatsoever. I took my chances in calling USCIS yesterday, guess it won’t hurt me so I did it anyway. I just asked regarding the biometrics rescheduling and the phrase “due to covid, we are trying our hardest to accommodate and reschedule folks and blah blah blah” and I feel like this phrase is just overly used and this phrase is literally tortured already. ASC San Diego is just a 10 mins drive from where I reside, so I decided to go there today and yes, I perfectly know that under no circumstance that they will let someone do a walk in biometrics, but I went anyway. I arrived there, spoke to the guard, and of course they told me that walk ins are not allowed, they are doing their best to accommodate folks but to when I will receive my reschedule appointment notice, he told me that all of them have no idea, no clue nor knowledge. Then I asked him, did someone do their biometrics today and he said no, shocking, and I asked again if they did biometrics to anyone since July 27 and he said no again., even more shocking and I felt like I will have a heart attack. The ASC door is wide open, so I saw that there were people on the counter, and no one is literally there for biometrics. I mean, it is frustrating, big time. Since I cannot wait for my SSN anymore, this month I applied for driver’s license under AB60 and within less than a month, I got approved for a permit. Line up in DMV, fingerprint, photo, and exam, they are working in DMV just perfectly fine. Hoping for the same situation in USCIS.
