Folks, I have a stokes interview.
Any insights you can share based on experience or knowledge about stockes interview will be helpful. My marriage based AOS to a USCIS wife took the interview on 11/29/2018 in the Dallas office. The following day 11/30/2018, we got the below message on the app. Our marriage is legit and have a PD of May 2017.
"Case Is Ready To Be Scheduled For An Interview
As of November 29, 2018, we are ready to schedule your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, Receipt Number ZZZ- YYYY - YYYY , for an interview. We will schedule your interview and send you a notice. Please follow any instructions in the notice. If you move, go to
www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address."
FYI,
Our first interview on 11/29 was kind of informal but touched on the following issues that raised anxiety:
1).How come i have been in F-1 for a long time when schools can only allow so much time for a degree. I said i have pursued different degrees one after another. Then showed my 6 degree.
2). Have you taken and medicare or Medicaid? I said yes but for my American kid 3 years ago for 6 months.
3). Did work illegally at your previous job and claim US citizenship? Not remembering what i entered on my job application, my response neither denied nor confirmed in answering to this question. Instead, i produced my OPT issued EAD i got some years back. Then he said that's what i needed to see.
4). Besides taking supporting docs among them our bank statements, paystubs, 401K statements, Insurance, rental lease, utility bills, medical, and IRS transcripts, officer said this enough i don't need any more leaving us with photo album, automotive titles and other docs we prepared.
Besides our marriage which is legit with 2 US born children between us, I believe these are points of the stockes interview coming up.
Kindly share what comes to mind in this respect.
