successful H1 & H4 stamping at chennai consulate
first thanx to immihelp to provide valuable in formation.
we had interview schedule on 15 october at 12 p.m. at chennai consulate.our interview was very smooth. here our experience. first we went to chennai consulate then indian employee checked our DS 156 & 157 & our passport and support documents & kept in folder then we went to in next building where the US employee was taking finger scanning. after that we were in que for 1hrs30 min.then US visa officer called us ( she was lady)& our interview was like that.
1) me;goodafternoon mam.
vo;goodafternoon sir, how are you.
2) me; fine mam.
vo; she took our folder which was prepared by indian employee at first window of inside the consulate .
3) vo ;whats your qualification.
me; B.E. from BB university.
4) vo; in which field.
me; in electronics & telecommunication.
5) vo; what is your birth place.
me; X place in Y state.
6) vo; which is your current company.
me; my current company is X MNC.
7) vo; in which project you are working in current company.
me; on X project.
8) vo; your future company project.
me; bla-bla
9) vo; whats the full name of your future company.
me; XX is the full name of my future company.
10) vo; where are you going in USA.
me; at YYYY place
11) vo; (to my wife) what is your birth place.
me; X place in Y state.
12) vo; how did you know about your future company.
me; through my friend.
then golden words came ok, sir i am granting your visa you will get your passport with in 5 days.& she didn't ask with us for single documents.if you are confident & having all the documents ,surely visa will be in your baket.
key points;your attire should be formal.
wear your current company idcard.
you should look like a professional.
whatever your time of interview reached before 15 to 30 min of your interview time.
if you are also applying for H4 visa go with your spouse so they will not ask you more family questions & it gives the good impression in the front of visa officer.
we stayed in chennai at new woodland hotel. its a three star hotel having all the aminities.its 2 kms far from consulate.ome more important thing in chennai auto rickshaws demands you more money for your destination but you should be very careful about that otherwise they will screw you. per km is 10 rs.in chennai so pay according to that.
