I should appreciate the admin of this website in moderating all the experiences it helped me in my preparation.

My H1B was approved for the Y2007 i went for the interview on July '08..it started with the Security...

Security : do you have any sealed envelop
me: yes (wage form given by employer)
security : Open it, officer will not accept any sealed envelop
me: confidential, need to be opened by consul only
security ; No, you need to open here
me: tried to open using my pen..my pen went flying in the process (sort of nervous)

next in the docs counter..given my papers
Lady in counter : Noticed the B1 i had taken in JAN'08...matched the photograph in VISA and
the photo in DS-156 for H1B..asked me "Are the photographs same?
me : yes!
Lady in counter : sorry sir you can't use it..Photograph should be taken within 6 months (its july 7 months from JAN)
me : madame..have a look no change in appearnce, pls consider!
Lady in counter : OK i will check with the officer and come
Lady in counter : She said its ok
me : Thanks
Lady in counter : She gave me the blue folder..she had put all docs inside that..didn't verify anything
(i had put Petition,I797,I129,invitation letter, project & work location letter, offer letter)
...
directly put on the Q

me: madam did you say you need employ wage report?
officer : yes
me: i gave that first and she took and myself kept the project info in hand

officer: will your wife be joining you?
me: she works for an Indian company!
officer : Will your wife travelling along with you?
me: No she is already working in US
Officer : Oh..she is already there

Have all docs in hand....Bit of preparation and confidence this is what it takes
when officer looks at you...maintain eye contact

Note : be watchful on the visa fee..it keeps changing due to $ value change!
