Temporary Visa delays
Hello,
I applied for a temporary visa and sent my passport on the 16th to NYC. It should have reached their office on the 20th of Nov. I need to leave my dorm (which is the return address) on the 14th and hence I will not be able to receive my passport after then. I had planned to stay in Canada over the break so I need my passport with the visa desperately.
Does anyone know how I can possibly speed up the process? By calling or anything? It is not possible for me to travel in person to the NYC office. On the Canadian website, it says it takes up to 9 days for processing within the United States. Should I give the consulate a call or should I just wait it out? What has been the regular time of wait between sending and receiving the passport from the NYC office?
