Timeline from Start to APPROVAL
Hi All, This website has been my friend on many a late night. I would like to share the timeline of me and my husband. We live and filled in NYC after finally being able to marry in 2015 with the passing of marriage equality!!

FILED: I-601, I-485, I-130, I-131 & I-765

12/01/15 - approx. date our lawyer submitted all forms & files
01/28/16 - Notice - received for each form submitted stating received 1/25
02/02/16 - Notice - Biometrics schedule for 02/24/16
02/24/16 - completed biometrics.. (arrived early and out fast)
04/12/16 - Notice - I-765 EA approved
06/15/16 - Notice - USCIS interview scheduled for 8/24/16
08/24/16 - USCIS interview - lasted approx. 10 mins, we were given a letter stating further review of our case is needed and we would get and answer within 120 days

01/02/17 - approx. 130 days after interview - Our Lawyer submitted for Supervisor Review & Infopass (info pass set for 2/1/17)

01/28/17 - PHONE CALL from USCIS Supervisor on a Sat.!!!!! Unknown # rang on my husbands phone so he did not answer. My phone rang a moment later also with an unknown # so answered. I was immediately greeted with "Hello, this is Ms. xxx. I am a supervisor at USCIS" she then went on to explain that USCIS very busy and she was in catching up on a Sat. She did try to call our lawyer but being a Sat. she was not in. She apologized many times for the extreme delay and assured us that our case would be reassigned but the reason she is calling is she wants to expedite the case and she needs two things to be dropped at Federal Plaza immediately the next day (original passport at time of enter & I-94). I explained that we would need to speak with our lawyer and may not be able to drop on Mon. but Tues. She said she understood but stressed the sooner the better. She also offered to leave her name and our lawyers info at the window for drop off incase our lawyer had any questions. SHE ALSO SAID ALWAYS ANSWER FOR UNKNOWN #'S WHEN WAITING ON USCIS BECAUSE THEY CAN'T UNBLOCK THIER #'S

01/31/17 - Our lawyer dropped of the requested info @ Federal Plaza and spoke with the Supervisor who again apologizing for the delay and said things look in order and we should have an answer soon.

02/01/17 - Infopass appt. cxl because our lawyer met with Supervisor day prior
02/01/17 - Our lawyer had us re-apply for my husband I-765 EA to ensure it would not lapse in case our approval did not come in the next couple of months and a renewal can take a few months.

02/23/17 - 11:23am got a text stating check for USCIS update on receipt #'s xxx
02/23/17 - I-601 APPROVED
02/23/17 - I-765 request for renewal CXL by USCIS stating it is no longer needed due to other approval
02/23/17 - a couple hours later another text to check status update - I-485 card ordered
02/23/17 - GREATEST DAY OF OUR LIVES!!!

I will post an update as to when we actually get the physical card delivered. I hope this truly helps somebody as I know oh to well that awful feeling of hopeless waiting and knowing nothing of what is going on while you wait scanning any website for anything to hold onto!!!

Our case was so overwhelming with so many levels and challenges that if we can stay strong and work through it anyone can!!!! STAY STRONG MY FRIENDS!!!

Peace, J.
